Lesson 3 - Light up the Night

SUMMARY OF THE LESSON

Lesson 3 is all about drama! We will paint a large 30x40” canvas, beginning by painting a base layer in beautiful deep shades of blue. Next we will add greenery and use a fun unconventional tool to create gorgeous extra large blooms.

  • Creating values and interest while sticking to a limited palette.
  • Creating a drip effect
  • Using a trowel to create large textured flowers

  • Trowel (or extra large palette knife)

    • Raw Umber
    • Phthalo Blue
    • Paynes gray
    • Phthalo Turquoise
  • Heavy Body Acrylic
    • Titanium white
