Here is a list of the materials I used to create this piece. I encourage you to experiment and use what you have. You never know what you’ll discover!

We begin this lesson using the finished painting from Lesson 1 - Fresh Perspective. You can paint over any piece that you are not quite happy with OR even better paint over something you ARE happy with. It’s pretty empowering to do that!

  • White Gesso

  • Lyra Graphite Crayon

  • Acrylic paints

    • Yellow Ochre - Fluid Acrylic

    • Quinacridone Red - Golden Heavy Body

    • Napthol Red - Golden Heavy Body

    • Raw Umber - Fluid acrylic

    • Prussian Blue - Golden Heavy Body

    • Paynes Gray - Fluid Acrylic

    • Titanium White - Heavy Body

    • Light Metallic Gold - Golden Heavy Body

    • Titan Buff - Amsterdam Series

A variety of tools, I use:

  • Foam roller

  • Rubber spatula

  • Rubber Squeegee

  • Catalyst wedge

  • 2 ½ inch “house painting” brush

  • Filbert brushes (I use size 4, 14 and 16)

  • Extra Large Round Brush(size 20)

  • Spray bottle filled with water

  • Paper towel or shop towel
